Auctions Live Broadcaster App - Major Platform Update

We have released a significant update to the Auctions Live Broadcaster App across both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

The updated version is available now, and we are asking all subscribers who use the Broadcaster App to ensure their devices are updated to the latest version before 26 October 2026.

While subscribers will not notice any changes to the appearance of the app or the way it is used when broadcasting an auction, this release represents a substantial upgrade to the underlying code base supporting the security, performance and future development of the Broadcaster App.

Enhanced Security and Platform Maintenance

A major focus of this release has been modernising the underlying technology used by the Broadcaster App while maintaining the existing broadcasting experience for subscribers.

• ● Security Updates: The app has been updated to incorporate the latest security improvements and supporting technologies.
• ● Updated Code Base: Core components of the Broadcaster App have been modernised to maintain compatibility with current Apple and Android operating environments.
• ● Improved Platform Foundation: The updated architecture provides a stronger foundation for future streaming enhancements and ongoing development.
• ● No Change to Existing Workflows: The Broadcaster App interface and normal broadcasting process remain unchanged, allowing subscribers to continue using the app in the same way they do today.

Preparing for Dolby OptiView Live Streaming

The updated Broadcaster App is also required for subscribers wanting to utilise our new Dolby OptiView live streaming solution.

Dolby OptiView introduces an enhanced streaming architecture designed to optimise how live auctions are delivered to different audiences. Using a single broadcast from the Broadcaster App, Auctions Live can provide streaming experiences suited to registered bidders, vendors, website viewers and supported viewing destinations.

• ● Ultra-Low-Latency Bidding: Registered online and telephone bidders can receive an ultra-low-latency stream designed for the real-time nature of live auction bidding.
• ● Optimised Viewer Experiences: Different audiences can receive a stream suited to how and where they are watching the auction.
• ● Single Broadcast Workflow: Subscribers can continue broadcasting through the Auctions Live Broadcaster App without needing to manage separate broadcasts for different audiences.
• ● Greater Streaming Flexibility: Dolby OptiView provides the foundation for Auctions Live to continue expanding and improving its live streaming capabilities.

Update Required Before 26 October 2026

The latest version of the Auctions Live Broadcaster App is available now through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

We strongly encourage subscribers to update their devices as soon as practical rather than waiting until the deadline.

• ● Available Now: The latest Broadcaster App update can be installed immediately from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• ● Update Before 26 October 2026: All subscribers using the Broadcaster App should ensure every device used for auction broadcasting has been updated to the latest version before this date.
• ● Update in Advance: Installing the update early will ensure devices are running the latest supported version and are prepared for the continued rollout of enhanced streaming technology, including Dolby OptiView.
